Broadwater Rod & Gun Club
PO Box 641, Townsend, MT 59644
The Broadwater Rod & Gun Club was founded in 1902 with the idea from the founders that there was a need to reestablish the elk herds in the Big Belt Mountains and the Elkhorn Mountains. Our forefathers, with their vision, began the rebuilding of our present elk herds. Today the Club has several hundred members with many from the Helena area.

Throughout the years, the Club has been active in various conservation programs and teaching Hunter Safety to the young hunters of our County. During the last ten years, the Club has been developing ranges at Indian Creek and on Canton Lane. The Canton
Lane Range provides for a ten station indoor archery, small bore rifle and pistol range, as well as four trap ranges with four automatic trap throwers. Each year the Club sponsors ATA Trap Shoots.
The Indian Creek Range has black powder, outdoor pistol, sporting clays, silhouette rifle ranges. Long Range Rifle shoots are scheduled each month. There is also a 28 station National Field Archery Range for competitive archery shooting as well as open shooting. In 2013 the Club built a handicapped access concrete pad and covered roof for the 100 yard shooting line. Recently the Club renovated the interior of our Canton Lane Building.
As a service to our community, the Club sponsors Hunter Education classes each year. Since 1993 over 1500 hunter education students have passed through our Hunter Education program. BRGC also sponsors 4H .22 rifle and shotgun for Broadwater 4H groups. As a further service to the community, the Club sponsors NRA classes for rifle, pistol, and shotgun training for the public. The Club also sponsors a Walleye Fishing Derby that is open to the public.
Your help is vital to the success of our fundraiser to complete the development of our ranges and expand our services to the community. The members of the Broadwater Rod and Gun Club thank you for your donations.
